Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (2023) [Malayalam-ESUB]

A group of Malayali travellers were returning to Kerala by bus after their visit to Velankanni. They all doze off in a lazy nap after lunch. Like a traveler who forgot his destination, James stops the bus in a village in Tamil Nadu. He starts to speak in Tamil like a native of the place, Sundaram, and behaves like him, confusing all who came with him and the villagers alike. He walks amidst faith, delusion, dream and trance, followed by others.

Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (transl. A Mid-day Slumber), officially titled in English as Like An Afternoon Dream^[2], is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and written by S. Hareesh from a story by Pellissery. It was jointly produced by Mammootty and Pellissery. The film stars Mammootty, Ramya Suvi, Ramya Pandian and Ashokan and threads on insomnia, spiritualism, and fantasy.^[3]^[4]
