Debut Bonanza

You have already watched the grand debut of top South Indian actors in Bollywood. Ever wondered how grand the Bollywood debut of some South actresses’ was? Baahubali: The Beginning fame Tamannaah, the gorgeous Trisha Krishnan and the critic’s new favorite Taapsee Pannu, all made their debut around the same time with remakes of some popular 80′ movies. Irrespective of the response of the films after release, the curiosity around their debut was worth mentioning. Our ‘Debut Bonanza’ this time is all about these three South Indian beauties.

Tamannaah debuted with Himmatwala opposite Ajay Devgan which was the remake of Sridevi-Jeetendra starrer Himmatwala released in 1983. Trisha Krishnan, on the other hand, debuted with Akshay Kumar’s comedy-drama Khatta Meetha, which was a remake of Vellanakalude Nadu a Malayalam classic. Tapsee Pannu’s Chashme Baddoor (2013) was an official remake of the 1981 film Chashme Buddoor.
