Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019)

Motichoor Chaknachoor is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language comedy drama film directed by Debamitra Biswal and produced by Rajiv and Kiran Bhatia.^[1]^[2] Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty in the lead roles and follows the story of a 36 year old man trying to find a wife.^[3] The film also stars Vibha Chibber, Navni Parihar, Vivek Mishra, Karuna Pandey, Sanjeev Vats, Abhishek Rawat, Sapna Sand and Usha Nagar in supporting roles.^[4]Debamitra had filed a commercial arbitration petition on Bombay High Court which had ordered a stay on the release of its trailer, over non-payment of dues by the makers of the film Woodpecker Movies Private Limited; the stay was later lifted.^[3] The film was released on 15 November 2019 and received mixed reviews from critics, with praise directed to Siddiqui’s and Shetty’s performances.^[5]

A hilarious story of a 36-year-old jobless man Pushpender, trying to find a wife and Anita who’s also looking for a husband. But there’s a catch – Anita wants to settle abroad after marriage.
