Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani<\/b><\/i> (lit.<\/abbr>: This youth is crazy), is a 2013 Indian romantic<\/a> drama film<\/a>, directed by Ayan Mukerji<\/a>, written by Mukerji and Hussain Dalal<\/a>, and produced by Karan Johar<\/a>.[2]<\/a><\/sup>[3]<\/a><\/sup> It stars Ranbir Kapoor<\/a> and Deepika Padukone<\/a> in lead roles.[4]<\/a><\/sup> This is their second film together after 2008’s Bachna Ae Haseeno<\/a>. Kalki Koechlin<\/a> and Aditya Roy Kapur<\/a> play supporting roles.[5]<\/a><\/sup> Madhuri Dixit<\/a> appears in an item number<\/a> with Ranbir Kapoor<\/a>. Initially set for a March 2013 release, the film was released on 31 May 2013.[6]<\/a><\/sup> Upon release, it was a box office success.[7]<\/a><\/sup> In 59th Filmfare Awards<\/a>, the film received highest number of nominations (nine) including Best Film, Best Actor for Kapoor, Best Direction for Mukherji, Best Supporting Actor for Kapur, Best Supporting Actress for Koechlin and so on. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani<\/i> has become one of the highest grossing Indian films<\/a> of all time.[8]<\/a><\/sup>[9]<\/a><\/sup>[10]<\/a><\/sup> It was also the tenth highest grossing Bollywood film in overseas markets<\/a> up until then.<\/p>\n

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is the story of the relationship between two characters, Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor) & Naina (Deepika Padukone), at two separate but defining times in their lives… first, when they are just out of college and standing on the crossroads of multiple decisions that will shape who and what they become… and then later on, in their late-twenties when they meet again, holding on to certain fulfilled and certain unfulfilled dreams, at a crossroads of another nature this time… how these two characters affect, change, befriend and eventually fall in love with each other is the journey the film aspires to take us on.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
