3 Idiots<\/b><\/i> is a 2009 Indian Hindi<\/a>-language coming-of-age<\/a> comedy-drama film<\/a> directed and written by Rajkumar Hirani<\/a>, with screenplay by Abhijat Joshi<\/a>. It was produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra<\/a> under the banner Vinod Chopra Films<\/a>. The film follows the friendship of three students at an Indian engineering college<\/a>, and is a satire<\/a> about the social pressures under an Indian education system.[6]<\/a><\/sup>[7]<\/a><\/sup>[8]<\/a><\/sup> The film is narrated through parallel dramas, one in the present, the other ten years in the past.
