The riches-to-rags story follows Adams\u2019 journey of self-discovery and redemption after losing his job as vice president of a multi-billion dollar hedge fund and finding work as a server at a local 24-hour diner.<\/p>\n

Waffle Street was filmed in Lehi, Utah<\/a> in 2014, with most of the scenes being filmed in a local diner called One Man Band.\u00a0It was named winner of Best Narrative Feature at the 2015 Hollywood Film Festival<\/a>, the Audience Award Best Feature at the 2015 Red Rock Film Festival<\/a>, and the Andretta Carpe Diem Award for Best Film at the 2015 Woodstock Film Festival<\/a>. It initially released on September 24, 2015.<\/p>\n

Waffle Street’s riches-to-rags tale is an adaptation of James Adams’ 2010 memoir of the same name (published by Sourced Media Books), which chronicles the financier’s foray into the food industry. After being laid off at the hedge fund where he worked, and further jaded by his culpability in the crisis, Adams chose to work at a popular 24-hour diner where he claims “most of his financial knowledge has been gleaned.” Offering a fresh take on the fallout of corporate greed, Adams’ is a tale of the redemption and unlikely friendship found under the tutelage of Glover’s character Edward, the best short-order cook in town.<\/div><\/div>\n
