The term\u00a0Khans of Bollywood<\/b>\u00a0refers to several male actors of\u00a0Bollywood<\/a>, the\u00a0Mumbai<\/a>-based\u00a0Hindi<\/a>\u00a0language\u00a0Indian film<\/a>\u00a0industry, whose surnames are\u00a0Khan<\/a>. Most commonly, this involves the\u00a0Three Khans<\/b>:\u00a0Shah Rukh Khan,\u00a0Salman Khan\u00a0and\u00a0Aamir Khan. The three are unrelated, but happen to share the same surname,[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0were all born in 1965,[2]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0and, due to their longevity and high popularity, are considered some of the most successful\u00a0movie stars<\/a> in the history of both Indian and world cinema. They made their Bollywood debut as the male protagonist with Deewana, Maine Pyar Kiya, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak<\/i>.<\/p>\n

<\/span>The dominance of the three Khans at the Indian box office has been compared to that of the\u00a0Marvel Cinematic Universe<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Hollywood<\/a>.[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Shah Rukh Khan frequently appears among the top three wealthiest actors in the world, while\u00a0Aamir Khan<\/a>\u00a0has been the only Eastern actor to be ranked first in the world’s\u00a0highest-earning actors in films<\/a>, and Salman Khan has been the highest paid celebrity in\u00a0South Asia<\/a>\u00a0several times. They have also earned critical acclaim, between them winning 6\u00a0National Film Awards<\/a>\u00a0and 26\u00a0Filmfare Awards<\/a>, as well as an\u00a0Academy Award<\/a>\u00a0nomination for Aamir.
