The film is the sequel<\/a> to The Da Vinci Code<\/a><\/i> and Angels & Demons<\/a><\/i>, and the third installment in the Robert Langdon film series<\/a><\/i>, and stars Tom Hanks<\/a>, reprising his role as Robert Langdon<\/a>, alongside Felicity Jones<\/a>, Omar Sy<\/a>, Sidse Babett Knudsen<\/a>, Ben Foster<\/a> and Irrfan Khan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Filming began on April 27, 2015 in Venice<\/a>, Italy, and wrapped on July 21, 2015 in Budapest<\/a>. The film premiered in Florence<\/a> on October 9, 2016 and is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 28, 2016 in 3D, 2D and IMAX formats.<\/p>\n

Famous symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) follows a trail of clues tied to Dante, the great medieval poet. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to stop a madman (Ben Foster) from unleashing a virus that could wipe out half of the world’s population.<\/div><\/div>\n
