The 92nd Academy Awards<\/b> ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences<\/a> (AMPAS), honored the best films of 2019<\/a> and took place at the Dolby Theatre<\/a> in Hollywood<\/a>, Los Angeles, California.[1]<\/a><\/sup> After more than a decade of holding the Academy Award ceremonies towards the end of February, the 92nd Academy Awards took place earlier in the month, on February 9, 2020.[1]<\/a><\/sup>[2]<\/a><\/sup> During the ceremony, AMPAS presented Academy Awards<\/a> (commonly referred to as Oscars) in 24 categories. The ceremony was televised in the United States by ABC<\/a>, produced by Lynette Howell Taylor and Stephanie Allain<\/a>; it was directed by Glenn Weiss<\/a>.[3]<\/a><\/sup>Citing the success of the format at the 91st presentation<\/a> in 2019, ABC announced that the ceremony would again be conducted without a host.[4]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n

The South Korean film Parasite<\/a><\/i> led the ceremony with four awards, including Best Picture<\/a>, becoming the first film not in the English language to do so.[6]<\/a><\/sup>[7]<\/a><\/sup> 1917<\/a><\/i> won three awards, and Ford v Ferrari<\/a><\/i>, Joker<\/a><\/i> and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood<\/a><\/i> won two awards each.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
