At first announced as the reboot<\/a> of the 2004 American remake<\/a> of the Japanese horror<\/a> film Ju-On: The Grudge<\/a><\/i>, the film ended up being a sidequel<\/a> that takes place during and after the events of the 2004 film and its sequels,[6]<\/a><\/sup> and is the fourth installment in The Grudge<\/i> film series<\/a>. The film stars Andrea Riseborough<\/a>, Demi\u00e1n Bichir<\/a>, John Cho<\/a>, Betty Gilpin<\/a>, Lin Shaye<\/a> and Jacki Weaver<\/a>, and follows a police officer who investigated several murders that are seemingly connected to a single house.<\/p>\n
