Anjaana Anjaani<\/b><\/i> (transl.<\/abbr>\u2009Strangers) is a 2010 Indian romantic comedy<\/a> drama film<\/a> directed by Siddharth Anand<\/a> and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala<\/a>. It stars Ranbir Kapoor<\/a> and Priyanka Chopra<\/a> as two suicidal strangers who meet and make a pact to commit suicide in twenty days on New Year’s Eve<\/a>. In the interim, the couple fulfil their personal wishes and eventually fall in love. Vishal-Shekhar<\/a> composed the soundtrack, with lyrics by various artists. The movie is inspired by Dutch movie Blind<\/a>. Wanting to make an unusual romance film, Anand struggled to find unconventional ideas while he was writing. Then his wife Mamta came up with the core narrative of the film, which excited him and changed his perspective. Anand approached novelist<\/a> Advaita Kala<\/a> who developed the story into a feature-length script, and later co-wrote the screenplay with him. Principal photography<\/a> was done entirely in New York City<\/a>, Las Vegas<\/a> and San Francisco<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After numerous attempts at suicide fail, a couple decide to live it up and then kill themselves on New Year’s Day.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
