Pink<\/b><\/i> is a 2016 Indian courtroom drama<\/a> film directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury<\/a>, written by Ritesh Shah, and produced by Rashmi Sharma<\/a> and Shoojit Sircar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It stars Amitabh Bachchan<\/a>, Taapsee Pannu<\/a>, Kirti Kulhari<\/a>, Angad Bedi<\/a>, Andrea Tariang, Piyush Mishra<\/a>, and Dhritiman Chatterjee<\/a>.[7]<\/a><\/sup>[8]<\/a><\/sup>[9]<\/a><\/sup>[10]<\/a><\/sup> It was released on 16 September 2016.\u00a0b<\/span>The Central Board of Film Certification<\/a> (CBFC) granted the film a U\/A certificate<\/a> with four verbal cuts.<\/p>\n

The film was specially screened for the Rajasthan Police<\/a> so as to train them to be sensitive and sensible about women’s rights and dignity.<\/p>\n

The film was a clear winner at the Indian box office, and received a very positive response from both the audience and critics. On November 4, 2016 the movie completed a lucrative 50 day run at the movie theatres.<\/p>\n

Three girls – Minal Arora (Taapsee Pannu), Falak Ali (Kirti Kulhari) and Andrea (Andrea Tariang) are staying together as tenants in a posh South Delhi locality and are normal working professionals in their respective fields. One night, after a rock concert they accept a dinner invitation from Rajveer (Angad Bedi), who is a relative of a powerful politician, and two others to a resort in Surajkund, Faridabad district, Haryana. Rajeev is known to Minal through a common friend. Rajveer and his friends get drunk and try to molest Minal Arora (Taapsee Pannu) and her two roommates. Andrea is touched inappropriately by Dumpy (Raashul Tandon). Minal picks up a bottle and smashes it on Rajveer’s eye, leaving him bleeding despite she saying NO to him. Rajveer and his friends try to vacate the girls from their houses and threaten them over the phone. Minal is foced to file a FIR against Rajveer and his friends. Upon realisation Rajveer lodges a wrong FIR against the girls, labelling them as prostitutes, using his powerful connections. Minal is charged for ‘Attempt to murder’ and for soliciting, where she could face imprisonment for more than 10 years, if convicted. Deepak Sehgall (Amitabh Bachchan) is a lawyer suffering from bipolar disorder who experiences frequent mood swings and has an ailing wife. He represents the girls in the court. The film revolves around how Deepak fights the girls’ case against these influential boys<\/div><\/div>\n
