Raaz<\/b><\/i>\u00a0(lit.<\/abbr>\u2009’Secret’) is a 2002\u00a0Indian<\/a>\u00a0horror film<\/a>\u00a0directed by\u00a0Vikram Bhatt<\/a>\u00a0and produced by\u00a0Mukesh Bhatt<\/a>, Kumar S. Taurani, Ramesh S. Taurani. The film stars\u00a0Bipasha Basu<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Dino Morea<\/a>\u00a0as a couple who have moved to\u00a0Ooty<\/a>\u00a0to save their failing marriage. However, what they find in their new home is more than they expected when a ghost starts haunting the place. The wife, Sanjana suddenly finds that her husband is part of the ghostly conspiracy, which she must fix to escape.[2]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0The film is an unofficial adaptation of\u00a0What Lies Beneath<\/a><\/i>.[3]<\/a><\/sup>[4]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0The film was dubbed in\u00a0Tamil<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Telugu<\/a>\u00a0as\u00a0Rahasyam<\/i><\/p>\n

It was the second-highest-grossing film of the year 2002 behind\u00a0Devdas<\/a><\/i>, and the first instalment in the\u00a0Raaz series<\/a><\/i>.\u00a0Bipasha Basu<\/a>\u00a0was nominated for the\u00a0Filmfare Best Actress Award<\/a>\u00a0and won major awards and took the film on her name. Right after her debut film she struck a blockbuster and got placed herself top in the Bollywood industry.\u00a0Raaz<\/i>\u00a0also marked the debut of actress\u00a0Malini Sharma<\/a>. Nadeem-Shravan’s music earned them several nominations and awards. A sequel to the film was released in 2009, under the title of\u00a0Raaz: The Mystery Continues<\/a><\/i>\u00a0and the third instalment of the series titled\u00a0Raaz 3<\/a><\/i>\u00a0was released on 7 September 2012. A fourth film,\u00a0Raaz Reboot<\/a><\/i>, has been released recently on 16 September 2016.<\/div><\/div>\n
