Planetarian: Storyteller of the Stars<\/b><\/i> (Japanese<\/a>: planetarian\uff5e\u661f\u306e\u4eba\uff5e<\/span> Hepburn<\/a>: Planetarian: Hoshi no Hito<\/i>, literally “Planetarian: Man of the Stars”) is a 2016 Japanese animated<\/a> post-apocalyptic<\/a> film directed by Naokatsu Tsuda. The film is based on the Planetarian: The Reverie of a Little Planet<\/a><\/i> visual novel<\/a> by Key<\/a> and the “Hoshi no Hito” short story from the Planetarian<\/i> light novel<\/a> written by Y\u016bichi Suzumoto<\/a>. The film was animated by David Production<\/a> and distributed by Asmik Ace<\/a>. It premiered in Japanese theaters on September 3, 2016. The story is set in a dystopian<\/a> future where nuclear warfare<\/a> has left a once prosperous civilization in complete ruin. The film tells the story of an old man traveling around with a mobile planetarium projector<\/a> to show people the stars.<\/p>\n
