It stars <a title=\"Deepika Padukone\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Deepika_Padukone\">Deepika Padukone<\/a> as the titular protagonist, <a title=\"Amitabh Bachchan\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Amitabh_Bachchan\">Amitabh Bachchan<\/a> and <a title=\"Irrfan Khan\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Irrfan_Khan\">Irrfan Khan<\/a>, with <a title=\"Moushumi Chatterjee\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Moushumi_Chatterjee\">Moushumi Chatterjee<\/a> and <a title=\"Jisshu Sengupta\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jisshu_Sengupta\">Jisshu Sengupta<\/a> portraying supporting roles. It tells the story of the short-tempered Piku Banerjee (Deepika), her grumpy, aging father Bhashkor (Amitabh) and Rana Chaudhary (Irrfan), who is stuck between the father-daughter duo, as they embark on a journey from <a title=\"Delhi\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Delhi\">Delhi<\/a> to <a title=\"Kolkata\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kolkata\">Kolkata<\/a>.The story and screenplay was written by Juhi Chaturvedi.
