Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is a 2016 American action<\/a> adventure film<\/a> based on the Mirage Studios<\/a> characters the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/a> and the sixth film of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/i> film series<\/a> and a sequel to the 2014 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/a><\/i>. The film was directed by Dave Green<\/a>, written by Josh Appelbaum<\/a> and Andr\u00e9 Nemec<\/a>, and stars Megan Fox<\/a>, Stephen Amell<\/a>, Will Arnett<\/a>, Brian Tee<\/a>, Tyler Perry<\/a>, Brittany Ishibashi<\/a> and Laura Linney<\/a>, and featuring voices of Pete Ploszek<\/a>, Alan Ritchson<\/a>, Noel Fisher<\/a>, Jeremy Howard<\/a>, Tony Shalhoub<\/a>, Gary Anthony Williams<\/a>, Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly<\/a> and Brad Garrett<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Principal photography<\/a> on the film began on April 27, 2015, in New York City<\/a>. It was released in theaters on June 3, 2016, in 3D<\/a>, RealD 3D<\/a>, 4DX<\/a>, and in IMAX 3D<\/a> and received generally mixed reviews from critics, being considered by many an improvement over its previous one, which received largely negative critical reception while the current received praising on its plot, the cast performances, its humor as well as the action sequences and Garrett’s acting as Krang. However, the film was not as successful as its predecessor because of it grossing over $242 million against a $135 million budget.<\/p>\n

The turtles face a new challenge when Shredder escapes from custody and joins forces with Baxter Stockman, a mad scientist who plans to use a serum to take over the world. Along for the ride are Bebop and Rocksteady, two dimwitted henchmen who provide plenty of muscle. Luckily, the turtles have their own allies in April O’Neil, Vernon Fenwick and Casey Jones, a hockey-masked vigilante. As the pizza-loving heroes prepare for battle, the notorious Krang also emerges to pose an even greater threat.<\/div><\/div>\n
