The Darkness<\/b><\/i> (formerly 6 Miranda Drive<\/b><\/i>) is a 2016 American supernatural<\/a> horror<\/a> film directed by Greg McLean<\/a> and co-written with Shayne Armstrong and Shane Krause. The film stars Kevin Bacon<\/a>, Radha Mitchell<\/a>, David Mazouz<\/a>, Lucy Fry<\/a>, Matt Walsh<\/a>, Jennifer Morrison<\/a>, Ming-Na Wen<\/a> and Parker Mack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The film is based on what are said to be actual events about a family who visits the Grand Canyon<\/a> and bring home a supernatural force that feeds off their fears and takes over their lives. Filming began in April 2014 in Los Angeles<\/a> and ended in May the same year.<\/p>\n

Blumhouse Productions<\/a> and Chapter One Films produced the film and it released it on May 13, 2016 to negative reviews from critics.<\/p>\n

Peter Taylor (Kevin Bacon), his wife Bronny and their two children return to Los Angeles after a fun-filled vacation to the Grand Canyon. Strange events soon start to plague the family, including young son Michael’s increasingly erratic behavior. The Taylors learn that Michael brought back some mysterious rocks that he discovered inside a cave. Unfortunately, something followed them home as the clan now find themselves in a battle with a supernatural force that preys on their worst fears.<\/div><\/div>\n
