<\/span>A UFC Light Heavyweight Championship<\/a> bout between two-time champion Jon Jones<\/a> and challenger Anthony Smith<\/a> headlined the event.[3]<\/a><\/sup>A UFC Welterweight Championship<\/a> bout between current champion Tyron Woodley<\/a> and The Ultimate Fighter: American Top Team vs. Blackzilians<\/a> welterweight winner Kamaru Usman<\/a> served as the co-headliner.[4]<\/a><\/sup>As a result of the cancellation of UFC 233<\/a>, a welterweight bout between former UFC Welterweight Champion<\/a> Robbie Lawler<\/a> and promotional newcomer and former Bellator Welterweight World Champion<\/a> Ben Askren<\/a> (also former ONE Welterweight Champion<\/a>) was rescheduled for this event.[5]<\/a><\/sup>A women’s bantamweight bout between former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion<\/a> Holly Holm<\/a> and Aspen Ladd<\/a> was expected to take place at the event. However on January 31, it was reported the matchup was scrapped due to undisclosed reasons and both fighters are expected to face new opponents in other events.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
