Hail, Caesar!<\/b><\/i> is a 2016 American comedy film<\/a> written, produced, edited and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen<\/a>. The film stars Josh Brolin<\/a>, George Clooney<\/a>, Alden Ehrenreich<\/a>, Ralph Fiennes<\/a>, Jonah Hill<\/a>, Scarlett Johansson<\/a>,Frances McDormand<\/a>, Tilda Swinton<\/a> and Channing Tatum<\/a>. The film is a fictional story that follows the real-life “fixer<\/a>” Eddie Mannix<\/a> (Brolin) working in the Hollywood film industry in the 1950s<\/a>, trying to discover what happened to a cast member who vanishes during filming.<\/p>\n

First revealed in 2004, the film was originally set to take place in the 1920s and to follow actors performing a play about ancient Rome<\/a>. The Coens shelved the idea until late 2013, when they stated it was in development.Principal photography<\/a> began in November 2014 in Los Angeles<\/a>, California<\/a>. In the early 1950s, Eddie Mannix is busy at work trying to solve all the problems of the actors and filmmakers at Capitol Pictures. His latest assignments involve a disgruntled director, a singing cowboy, a beautiful swimmer and a handsome dancer. As if all this wasn’t enough, Mannix faces his biggest challenge when Baird Whitlock gets kidnapped while in costume for the swords-and-sandals epic “Hail, Caesar!” If the studio doesn’t pay $100,000, it’s the end of the line for the movie star.<\/span><\/p>\n
