Kedarnath<\/b><\/i> (Hindi pronunciation:\u00a0<\/small>[ke\u02d0da\u02d0\u027ena\u02d0t\u02b0]<\/a><\/span>) is a 2018 Indian Hindi<\/a>-language romantic<\/a> drama<\/a> disaster<\/a> film written, directed and co-produced by Abhishek Kapoor<\/a>.[2]<\/a><\/sup>Featuring Sushant Singh Rajput<\/a> and newcomer Sara Ali Khan<\/a> in lead roles, it tells an inter-faith love story between a wealthy Hindu girl who takes a pilgrimage to the historic Kedarnath Temple<\/a> in the Uttarakhand<\/a> mountains and a humble Muslim boy who becomes her guide. As their relationship grows closer along the journey, the pair face many obstacles, including familial disapproval and contrasting backgrounds; when the sudden rains of the 2013 Uttarakhand floods<\/a> devastate the region, the couple are forced to survive against the elements and face the ultimate test of their love.[3]\u00a0<\/a><\/sup>The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala<\/a> of RSVP Movies and Abhishek Kapoor of Guy in the Sky Pictures, along with Pragya Kapoor<\/a> and Abhishek Nayyar; it was co-written with Kapoor by Kanika Dhillon<\/a>.
